The aim of the meeting was to provide participants with knowledge about the forms, rules and phrases that should be used in order to maintain the inclusive nature of their statements and to show the positive changes taking place in the English language dictionary in recent years.
Unfortunately, these topics are rarely discussed, but very important and interesting. The words we use are very important, the way they are received depends on their choice. We wanted to sensitize participants to this issue and show them how important it is to use language consciously. The meeting was conducted by an English teacher working at our university. The content was presented in the form of a lecture, the lecturer based on a presentation prepared for this purpose. In order to encourage participants to actively participate, several quizzes were also prepared on the individual parts of the lecture. The quizzes were also intended to help consolidate the acquired knowledge. Moreover, the host conducted a short discussion with the participants.
