Learning by gardening

"Learningbygardening" is a solidarity project co-funded by the "Corpo europeo di solidarietà", which also sees the participation of the school students of "IIS Antonello". With this project, in which "Enjoy Sicily" (together with ESN Messina) is the coordinator, the children return to the community a piece of uncultivated land, planting vegetables and fruit trees. In this second phase, the boys provide for the transplant of the seedlings in the newly reclaimed garden. The sowing and the decanting will continue throughout the year, with vegetables and aromas according to seasonality. This wonderful initiative not only guarantees the seasonality of the vegetable garden and sowing, but also the preparation of the soil, fertilization and finally the harvest.
