The goal of this event is to bring students together for a fun and adventurous day trip, fostering teamwork while canoeing along the scenic Lahn river. Participants will not only enjoy an active outdoor experience but also discover beautiful landscapes, cultural sights like castle ruins and half-timbered houses, and strengthen social connections in a relaxed atmosphere.
Embark with us on a journey along the Lahn river on Sunday, the 21st of September.
We're hiring canoes!
Each boat has space for 4 people, making the task of navigating the river's twists and turns a team effort.
Much of the route flows through national biosphere reserves so expect beautiful nature all around. You can even spot castle ruins and half-timbered houses from the river.
Join us on this "Lahn Odyssey" as we embark on a voyage of adventure, where the journey itself is the destination and every moment is a chapter in an epic tale.
Note: We ask you to please resist the urge to treat the canoes as bumper cars and/or roleplay Pirates of the Caribbean.
The canoe tour itself will take around five hours on the water. We’ll stop for a one-hour break along the way. Be sure to bring enough food and drink. Life vests will be handed out before we set off.
Departure: 09:20 from platform 13, Frankfurt Central Station. Try to be there 10 to 15min earlier.
We will then get out and catch a connecting train in Gießen at 10:02 from platform 11.
