Goal of the Activity

Make students enjoy a game that everyone loves, opening up to the culture of the local community

Description

This year, the first and only King Pong date took place in a new location: at Panz&rotto. The owner Paolo was immediately very helpful in helping with the organisation and giving us the best treatment.  We were able to work out the amount of the tournament fee, which was 7€. Since the location was slightly smaller than in past tournaments, we felt it was better to make a tournament of 32 participants (so 16 teams of 2 people) .

From the very beginning of the opening of registration from the Jupiter link until the hour before the tournament for on-site registration, we were noticing a low participation from students. Therefore, after the hour for on-site registration had expired, we decided it would be best to open the tournament to students/aspirants as well, in order to complete the roster of participants.

The organisation during the tournament was as follows: at each table there were two members of the association (active and/or aspiring) who refereed the games, each lasting 10 minutes. Samuel and Simone were in charge of the board.

At exactly midnight (the time requested by the owner) the awarding of the winners took place. Soon afterwards, with everyone's help, the private room that Paolo had reserved for us was cleaned up. With the music turned off and everything sorted out, we left the place around 00:30.
