Goal of the Activity

The goal of this activity is to introduce Erasmus students to the basics of the Italian language in a fun and interactive way. This class aims to enhance their ability to communicate in everyday situations, facilitating their integration into the local culture and improving their overall experience in Italy.

During the session, participants learned essential Italian phrases, grammar rules, and practical vocabulary that could be used in daily conversations. The class also provided insights into Italian culture, idiomatic expressions, and linguistic nuances, helping students feel more comfortable and confident when interacting with locals.

This activity aimed to enrich the Erasmus experience by fostering cultural understanding, breaking language barriers, and encouraging students to immerse themselves more deeply in their host country’s lifestyle.

Description

The Italian Class was a dynamic and engaging language session designed to help Erasmus students develop basic communication skills in Italian. The lesson was structured to be interactive and participatory, making learning both enjoyable and effective.

Led by a skilled language instructor, the session covered key topics such as greetings, ordering food at a restaurant, asking for directions, and introducing oneself in Italian. Through role-playing activities, group exercises, and practical dialogues, participants had the opportunity to practice their speaking skills in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Beyond language learning, the class served as a cultural immersion experience, introducing students to common Italian gestures, traditions, and expressions that are integral to everyday communication in Italy. By the end of the session, participants felt more confident using Italian in real-life situations and had a greater appreciation for the language and culture.

The event concluded with an informal Q&A session, where students could ask questions about the language and receive personalized tips on improving their Italian skills, making it a valuable and enjoyable learning experience.
