The goal of this lecture is to explore historical perspectives on transgender identities, examining how gender expression and identity have been documented throughout history
Join this lecture on Thursday, February 6th and learn more about how people have been transgender, long before you could have sex reassignment surgery.
We will talk about how people in history and in memory write about transgender people.
There are several examples in history of people who dress and act as the opposite sex.
Is this cross-dressing, or are these early examples of transgenderism?
The lecture starts at 7 pm and ends at 9 pm
The doors open at 6:30 pm, so there is plenty of time to find a seat and have a drink in the cozy student café in Studenterhus Aarhus
The lecture will be given by Magnus Eskerod, who is studying for the master's degree in History.
Remember that you can catch the bike, bus or light rail to Studenterhuset if the weather is rainy and windy
