The idea of the exhibition was to celebrate the Social Inclusion Days by entering the world of blind people for a moment and discovering reality using all senses except sight. It was an emotional and educational trip at the same time. We wanted foreign students to spend a pleasant and unusual time with us, but also to let them understand what blind and visually impaired people face in their everyday lives. In Invisible Gdańsk we learnt how to explore the world without the sense of sight.
Invisible Gdańsk is a completely unusual museum. The tour takes place in complete darkness, under the supervision of guides who live with darkness every day and know how to navigate it perfectly. Visiting this place is accompanied by great emotions - a bit of uncertainty, a bit of adrenaline, a whole package of new experiences. Discovering the museum exhibition is done by touch, hearing and smell. Here you can learn the history of Gdańsk and its most important symbols in a new, complitely different way than before.
