InstaWalk was an innovative project that combined city exploration, creativity and social interaction. For Erasmus students, it was not only a way to get to know Katowice and its people, but also to capture the beauty and atmosphere of the city in an original way. Local participants, in turn, had the opportunity to look at their city from a new perspective and feel like tourists. The event promoted visual culture, engaging participants in an unconventional way.
InstaWalk was a unique event that allowed Erasmus students to discover their Erasmus destination of Katowice in a creative and engaging way. Instead of a traditional guided tour, full of dry historical facts, participants followed a route through the city's most photogenic sites. Taking photos, they interacted with locals and learned about the unique atmosphere of the Upper Silesian capital. The walk was an opportunity to see Katowice from a new perspective - both for newcomers to the city and for local students who were able to rediscover their city. Along the way, participants took part in photo challenges, exchanged ideas and met the city's residents, thereby promoting ESN in the local community. Now they can submit photos taken at the event to the “Discover Europe” contest. The event combined sightseeing with art, while fostering integration.
