To promote Cantabrian culture by visiting two prehistoric caves in Puente Viesgo and taking a hiking route to enjoy the nature and mountains that surround the village.
Before the activity, 24 seats were reserved on Alsa bus at 10h00, as well as tickets for both caves. Through the WhatsApp group, the Erasmus were told to be at the bus station around 09h40 so that there would be no complications when taking the bus.
Once we arrived in Puente Viesgo, they were told that they had 30 minutes to be able to have a coffee, go to the toilet or just see the town, as we still had plenty of time until the entrance time to the caves. About 45 minutes before the entrance to the caves, Azharia went up to the Centro de Arte Rupestre to validate the tickets.
A few minutes later, the Erasmus arrived with Elena and we started walking to the entrance of the caves. Since only groups of 12 are allowed to enter the caves, the Erasmus had to be divided into 2 groups of 11, each accompanied by a coordinator. While one group entered the cave of Las Monedas, the other entered the cave of El Castillo and vice versa. Once the visits to both caves were finished, we had a break for lunch and then we started with the planned route.
Once the route was finished, we asked them if they wanted to eat chocolate with churros, to which they all accepted and we proceeded to go down to the Balneario of Puente Viesgo. When we finished eating, we went to the bus stop to return to Santander.
