Going hiking in the Wachau, one of the most prominent tourist destinations close to Vienna
This weekend, we have another hiking trip for you!
On Saturday, we go to the famous wine region Wachau. We'll hike in the hills next to the Danube, see the castle ruin where the English king Richard the Lionheart was held captive and we'll eat and drink in one of the "Heurigen" restaurants there. This hike is rather easy (~10km) and there's not very much elevation gain.
▬▬▬▬▬▬ WHERE & WHEN ▬▬▬▬▬▬
We meet at Wien Spittelau, in the middle between the metros U4 and U6, at 9:45 on Saturday, 18 September.
We will be back in Vienna sometime in the evening.
