Visit two architectural exhibitions that highlight key challenges and transformations in contemporary urban development. Through visits to two exhibitions, the activity aims to deepen participants’ understanding of the evolution of housing in Spain over the last fifty years and to foster reflection on the shared need for sustainable urban and architectural regeneration in different cultural contexts.
Through a guided tour, we visited the exhibitions “Inhabiting Spain”: exploring the evolution of housing in Spain over the last 50 years; and "Regenerations China and Spain in the mirror".
Inhabiting Spain offers a journey through some of the most relevant housing projects in the country over the past fifty years (1975–2025). The exhibition is structured into five sections, each dedicated to a decade, in which different socioeconomic, political, and environmental contexts are revealed.
The exhibition Regenerations: China and Spain in the Mirror proposes a dialogue between two countries that, despite their very different realities, share the same urgency: regenerating inherited cities and architecture to respond to sustainability challenges.
