Goal of the Activity

The main goal of the activity was to show part of the cultural and natural heritage of Marche region visiting the caves of Frasassi, one of the most important cave in Italy and the main natural landmark of the region and discovering the city of Jesi during his typical medieval festival the "Palio di Jesi"

Description

Meeting point in Piazza Cavour, Ancona, at 9:00 am to leave few minutes later by car of some volunteers. Arrival at the "Grotte di Frasassi" at about 10:00 am and guided visit of the caves till 12:00 am. Then we moved to the "Tempio del Valadier", a beautiful ancient temple set in a cave that we reached walking surrounded by the incredible natural scenery of the "Gola della Rossa", where we had lunch together. At about 2:30 pm we moved to the medieval Jesi where there was a beautiful typical historical festival. With the students we attended the parade with traditional music, clothes, games and dances, then we had together an italian aperitivo into the city in a festival's stand with charateristic dishes and drink. We left Jesi at about 8:00 pm and we came back in Ancona at about 9:00pm
