Goal of the Activity

Inform local students about Green Erasmus+, different mobility opportunities and opportunities EU offers (traineeships, jobs, volunteering, study exchanges,...)

Description

Green Goes Abroad was an event to promote mobility, Green Erasmus, and European Union. It was organised by ESN MENDELU Brno and the International Relations Office of Mendel University in Brno. The event took place on 21st April in the afternoon and evening. Participants had an opportunity to learn and compete for fun Green Erasmus related awards. At a stand regarding the EU, they could learn about the European year of youth, NextGen EU, the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union and about all the opportunities EU brings them when going abroad - work, study, internships, volunteering. They could chat with one of our representatives and discuss things related to EU. Part of that was also a flipchart asking them to share what has EU given them in their life. At other stands, they had tasks ranging from matching C02 levels to a specific mode of transport at a particular route to packing lots of oddly shaped items into a small suitcase in just one minute. In the evening, they had a chance to hear about four students’ experiences abroad on exchange. Overall, there were over 60 participants, and the event was given positive verbal feedback from the IRO.
