Join us for an unforgettable day of adventure and holiday cheer! We’re heading to the Planet Ocean exhibition at the Gasometer Oberhausen, where you’ll experience the breathtaking beauty of our oceans and their vibrant ecosystems. Afterward, we’ll wander through the festive Christmas markets at Centro Oberhausen, exploring the cosy stalls and enjoying the seasonal treats.
🌊 About the Planet Ocean Exhibition
Dive into the mysterious depths of the world’s oceans through stunning, large-format photos, immersive films, and unique soundscapes. Starting with the North Sea, this journey transports you to the depths of the ocean and even Antarctica. The highlight of the exhibition is “The Wave,” an awe-inspiring, floor-to-ceiling marine world display where you can marvel at enormous schools of fish and even encounter life-sized sea giants!
🎄 Christmas Market Fun
At 15:30, we’ll continue our day at the Centro Oberhausen Christmas markets, with 150 wooden huts full of holiday magic! From hot drinks and handcrafted gifts to themed markets like Santa’s Village and the Secret Santa market, there’s something to make everyone feel the spirit of the season. Families and fairy-tale lovers can enjoy the gnome train, talking fairy-tale trees, and a colourful carousel, while others can cosy up in alpine-style huts for an après-ski experience.
