Goal of the Activity

The goal of the activity was to take a guided walk through Pisa's 3 main urban parks: Giardino Scotto, Parco Fluviale delle Piagge and Parco Europa, and collect rubbish found during the walk, while learning new things about the city of Pisa and the nature that makes it up.

Description

We met at Giardino Scotto at 9.30 a.m. together with the Legambiente Pisa association and the Lay Scout association CNGEI of Pisa. Legambiente provided everyone with equipment to collect waste (bags, gloves, pincers) and we started to clean the first park. We separated the various wastes, being careful with the special ones. After the first cleaning, there were explanations about the parks and their surroundings. Then we moved to the Piaggie park and walked along the Arno river. On this route, we continue collecting the trash. Eventually, we arrived at our last destination, the Europa Park, where we all had a snack together with the other associations.
