Goal of the Activity

The Florio Family was one of the most important families in Sicilian history, leaving a significant imprint of their history on the historical artistic and architectural fabric of the city of Palermo. As part of a series of events dedicated to the history of the Florios, this event was focused on showing architectural footprint of the Family in the city. In fact, the most authoritative historical sources agree that the start of the Art Nouveau style in Palermo was due to the influence of this family.

Description

The event took place over an entire morning through guided tours first to Villino Florio and then to Villino Malfitano Whitaker, another example of the Art Nouveau style in Palermo.
At the end of the event in a totally carefree atmosphere, impressions had been exchanged over a social lunch at one of the association's partners
