Goal of the Activity
  • Celebration of Diversity: Celebrating the cultural diversity of the participants, showcasing the different countries and traditions represented by the Erasmus students, and fostering a sense of pride in their heritage.
  • Promoting Unity and Inclusion: Encouraging unity among students from different backgrounds, highlighting how people from all over the world can come together to form a vibrant, inclusive community.
  • Cultural Awareness and Appreciation: Raising awareness about the various cultures, histories, and traditions of the countries represented by the flags, and promoting mutual respect and understanding.
  • Creating a Sense of Belonging: Helping students feel proud of their backgrounds while also fostering a feeling of belonging in the Erasmus community, regardless of where they come from.
  • Engaging in Fun and Memorable Experiences: Organizing a lively, joyful event that students will remember, which adds to the overall Erasmus experience and enhances their sense of adventure and camaraderie.
Description

The event took place throughout Pavia, starting from the university courtyard where we divided the flags and organized ourselves for the parade. Some Erasmus students painted their own flag using paint and brushes we provided on A1 sheets. Afterwards, the parade started from the central university and made its way to the Pavia Cathedral.
