Goal of the Activity

To celebrate Erasmus Days with a Mediterranean touch by bringing participants together to explore traditional cuisine, promote sustainable eating habits, and experience how food can serve as a bridge between cultures and people.

Description

As part of Erasmus Days, the Fish Marinade Workshop offered students the chance to dive into the heart of Mediterranean culture through one of its most iconic dishes. The event combined cultural learning, healthy living, and hands-on practice allowing participants to experience food not just as a meal but as a form of connection. Led by experienced hosts, the workshop introduced the essentials of the Mediterranean diet, focusing on fish and olive oil as key ingredients that symbolize balance, simplicity, and wellness. Participants learned how to prepare a traditional no-heat fish marinade, blending fresh ingredients and local flavors while discovering the nutritional value and sustainability of this age-old recipe. After the preparation phase, everyone enjoyed a tasting session where they shared their creations, exchanged cultural food traditions, and celebrated the Mediterranean lifestyle together. The workshop wasn’t just about cooking, it was about connecting through taste, learning from one another, and appreciating the power of food in building understanding across cultures. #ErasmusDays
