The University of Salento's annual freshman welcome party was an unforgettable event that showcased the vibrant blend of cultures that characterize the university community. With a particular focus on welcoming its international students, the party offered a taste of both academic life and the unique charm of the Salento region.
Live music filled the air, with bands playing a mix of popular international hits and traditional Salentine folk music. Students danced the night away, forming new friendships and creating lasting memories.
A highlight of the evening was a cultural exchange, where Erasmus students shared stories about their home countries and taught their peers a few words in their native languages. In return, Italian students introduced their international counterparts to the beauty and traditions of the Salento region, such as the pizzica, a traditional folk dance.
