The goal of the Exchange Your Kindness for Some Goods event was to promote sustainability and social responsibility among international students through a collaborative and eco-friendly initiative. By encouraging participants to volunteer and take part in organizing a community reuse space, the event aimed to raise awareness about conscious consumption while fostering teamwork, kindness, and environmental values.
On January 19th, 2025, ESN UAM Poznań and ESN Poznań teamed up for a meaningful and eco-conscious event at Po-Dzielnia – a place dedicated to giving pre-loved items a second life.
During the event, students were invited to exchange a little kindness and time for useful items like clothes or accessories. By helping organize the space, fold clothes, or assist with small tasks, participants earned the opportunity to take home goods they needed – all without spending a cent.
The initiative encouraged sustainable habits, such as reusing instead of buying new, and supported the idea of mutual aid and community-driven impact. While bringing clothes to donate was welcome, it wasn’t necessary – the main currency was kindness and action.
The event also highlighted the importance of reducing textile waste and embracing eco-friendly living, all while creating a fun, social, and purpose-driven atmosphere.
