Do you like history? Do you want to learn more about parts of Austrian kingdom in the past? Then you've come to the right place! One of the most popular tourist attractions in Tyrol, it was built on the 16th century, and serves as the residence of the Ferdinand II and his family from 1567 to 1595. Hike to the top of the hill, and explore the castle at your own pace while marvelling the magnificence of the historical past!
When and where:
Sunday, 5 March 2023. Gather at Terminal Marktplatz bus stop at 12:15/45. We will then take the Bus C all the way to the terminus (Luigenstraße; the bus should go at 12:28/58). From there, the true adventure awaits you! Now you'll ascend the hill up to the castle, enjoying the scenery of the trip, as well as the glimpse of the castle! Once you are on the top, the trip is yours to decide! Do you want to relish the nature now that you're distant from the city? The beauty of the garden awaits you! Want to learn more about history? Go inside the castle and pay 16 Euro (12 Euros if you're under 25), and spoil your eyes and brain with the artistic interior of the castle! Are you a castle / museum enthusiast? Rent the audio guide for 4 Euros! And best of all, the castle experience is all in English, meaning that it should be suitable for all!
Just remember to gather back at the entrance of the castle on 16:00 to return back to the city together!
