Encourage the internationals to learn about humanity's heritage.

Description

Neanderthals are an extinct species of archaic humans who lived until 40,000 years ago. The oldest Neanderthal bones date to 430,000 years ago. What nobody knows: Neanderthals got this name because the first remains were found in 1856 in the Neander Valley.

This spectacular place is just a 15 minutes train ride away from Düsseldorf. We will overview it from the top of a 22 metres high tower which is located right at the former archeological discovery site. After learning about the history of the Neanderthals and human evolution at a museum, we will follow human traces on an outdoor art trail and end up in the Ice Age Animal Park.
