Goal of the Activity

Have a refreshing bath in a (very cold) lake!

Description

Feb. 9, 2025 14:00

ESN goes Ice Bathing 🥶 (09.02, 14:00)
Do you feel like challenging yourself? Or do you need a break from studying for your exams? Then join us for our (almost 😉) ice bathing ❄️. We will meet at Grube Prinz von Hessen to have a refreshing dip/swim in the lake. You can take the FM bus that arrives perfectly at 13:59 or a bike. Don't miss the bus, as they only go every hour. We will have a refreshing swim or dip in the water (depends on you :D). Afterwards there is the option to go to Jugendstilbad for Spa and Sauna to heat up again.

For the lake, please bring a towel and swimming clothes. For Jugendstilbad some flip flops are usful. Wearing something that you can put on fast again is recommended, since it gets cold quite quickly. You can also bring some tea to stay warm. Please consider, that swimming in the cold lake buts quite some stress on your body. Please only join if you feel you are up to that and are not sick.

The entry fee for Jugendstilbad can be found on their website. It depends on the areas you want to use and how long you stay. Please note, that in the Spa Area of Jugendstilbad swimming suits are not allowed, but you can wear your towel (you have to bring a second to sit on then). Looking forward to a refreshing start of the year with you!😁
