Goal of the Activity

The goal of this unique event was to show our Erasmus students part of our cultural history, and heritage. Show them the very old technique of painting the clay products which is very old but special for the region of Modra and support the Slovak heritage.

Description

Modra, our historical gem, has been shaping the artistic heritage of Slovakia for centuries. Pottery, one of the oldest handcrafts in the country, holds the secrets of generations and is an integral part of our cultural identity.

At this unique event, you'll explore the captivating art of Majolica, a centuries-old pottery technique known for its vibrant colors and intricate designs. With a guided tour of the workshop, you'll witness firsthand the craftsmanship that has made Modra famous.

Then, it's your turn to become a part of this living history! Join our creative workshop where you'll paint your very own pottery products. Unleash your artistic spirit and take home a tangible piece of Modra's enduring legacy.

And here's the exciting part: Your handmade creations will be sent to Bratislava afterwards, ensuring that the memories and craftsmanship of Modra will always be close to your heart.

Don't miss this chance to connect with our heritage, unleash your creativity, and leave with a piece of Slovakia in your hands and heart. See you at the Majolica event!  #ModrasMajolica #ErasmusArtistry
