Goal of the Activity
  • share the experience of a traditional Finnish Sitsit combined with the expirience of German Christmas traditions
  • give team members and and other "back-comers" from Finland the opportunity to reexperience a part of their exchange
Description

A Sitsit is a Finnish academic dinner party, where a three-course meal is served accompanied by some drinks and a lot of singing. The event is led by two toastmasters who guide through the evening, start some of the songs, lead the games and make sure, certain rules of respect towards the speakers are followed. The songs come from a songbook that was created for this event with many typical songs from Finnish Sitsits with creative texts, but also German and international Pop and Rock songs.

The theme of this Sitsit was Christmas, so people were asked to come dressed accordingly and the room was decorated with lots of lights, a Christmas tree, hand-crafted stars from a Teambuilding and much more. The food served was prepared and cooked by team members.
