Fun day trip to Erfurt
Still no plans for this Sunday and would like to see a beautiful medieval city in the heart of Thuringia? Then join us on a city trip to Erfurt to see the historic capital city of Thuringia with old architecture, the city where Martin Luther became a monk.
Located at the crossroads of two ancient trading routes, the Via Regia and the Nuremberg Geleitstrasse, Erfurt expanded during the Middle Ages to become a powerful center of trade and learning. The German writer Arnold Zweig once described Erfurt’s charming old quarter, which has preserved much of its original mediaeval structure, as a “picture book of German history”.
What are you waiting for?
We meet at 09h55 in front of the train station in Göttingen to take a direct train to Erfurt. The train departs at 10:08. The train IS NOT included in the Semester Ticket. You need either the Deutschland Ticket or to get a (group) ticket from Leinefelde to Erfurt and back.
