The aim was to promote Erasmus+ Opportunities among local students in a rural area of the North of Portugal. The Erasmus in Schools is an initiaive supported by the National level in order to impact local students from all over the country, promote awareness about the Exchange opportunities and knowledge about the European Union and the voice it gives to youngsters.
The "Erasmus in Schools Rural Areas" Project is specially meant for local students that study in rural areas of our region. With this, we intend to increase our action and spread the same content to communities with less access to information.
ESN Porto along with Europe Direct prepared a two parts presentation to introduce topics such as Mobility, European Careers, Internships and Erasmus+ Program in detail. After those, an Erasmus student and an ESNer shared their testemony about their Exchange experience.
In fact, the testimony of the Erasmus Students was very emotional and honest. A local student even wrote on the feedbcak form that he/she felt identified with the Eramus as he/she was brasilian and felt the same difficulties and the same enjoyments while being in a foreign country.
The fact that we had an International Sudent talking about his experience in Portugal and a portuguese student talking about his experience as an Erasmus in Paris was enriching as made it possible for the local students to have both perspectives.
After the session, we showed a promotional video from ESN Porto that is appealing for them to understand what is our work and what is the Erasmus Generation as a concept. The class really enjoyed it and felt touched by it.
All the 77 Feedback Forms we received had POSITIVE feedback and the average satisfaction value was 5, in a scale from 1 to 5.
