Share the culture of our active members with Dutch high school students.
We had 16 volunteers (13 active members and 3 board members) who presented their countries of origin to Dutch high school students at the C.S. Augustinius High School in Groningen. The event took place in two days, the 9th and 11th of December, and we presented to 8 different classes, with ages ranging from 12 to 18. The students were very receptive and asked us many questions about our countries and also how we have adapted to the Dutch culture. This activity was the perfect opportunity for international students to engange with the local community.
Outcomes
The high school students asked a lot of questions to the international students, about their home country and about their life in the Netherlands as an international students. The presentations were very good, informative and interactive.
