The goal of this project is to promote opportunities in the EU, Erasmus+ program getting the main exposure during all our sessions. As an emerging NGO on our local level, another checkpoint we touched was getting in contact with all the high schools from Cluj-Napoca to see their needs and expectation liked to international mobilities and connect with our potential future volunteers from high schools.
The high school students took contact with local Ex-Erasmus exchange students, Ex-Erasmus Youth Programs participants, and Erasmus international students studying in Cluj-Napoca at that moment, having their testimonials in a context that would facilitate direct dialogue and know-how transfer.
With this series of events, we promoted the idea of a cutting-edge educational model based on close contact with a multitude of realities and highlighted the benefits certain students could obtain from an international curricular experience in the context provided by studying abroad.
Increasing young people's awareness regarding the value of Europe's cultural variety as a resource was one of our key goals.
Covered topics in the presentations:
- what is EU?!;
- introduction to the Erasmus exchange possibilities (university exchange in mobility and traineeship, short-term projects, Erasmus Mundus);
- introduction of ESN Cluj-Napoca activity;
- storytelling by Ex-Erasmus program participants;
- reflection/feedback session with the students;
- sharing links to groups with Erasmus+ project opportunities for the targeted audience.
