This event promoted intercultural exchange in the cozy and welcoming atmosphere, while targeting local students who are interested in participating in a mobility program.
As part of the Erasmus Generation in Action (EGiA) project, the objective of this event was to promote and encourage student participation in international mobility programs and to highlight the importance of active citizenship.
On 19th of November, 2023, our befriended organization Future Generation Europe and our President, Claudia Manová actively joined forces to engage, enlighten, and inspire students in their annual initiative known as "MiniErasmus" - what better even to promote mobilities than an Erasmus event, right? 😊
Future Generation Europe empower young people to achieve more, discover their potential and change their future through mentoring tools and opportunities. They are doing so also through the MiniErasmus, a successful four-day project that offers students an immersive experience in real university classrooms.
The students interact with potential classmates here, which provides them with crucial information about the expected shapes of their academic journey. During this event, we introduced students to their mobility options not only for the future, but also for the time being, as they are attending high schools all around Slovakia. Doing so, they were explained the possibilities, where the primary objective was to provide more information about various international exchange programs and mobility opportunities; the Erasmus Student Network and its role, focusing mainly on the topic of mobility and the opportunities that the European Union makes available to young people; and the EGiA project itself. Upon completion of abovementioned, they were introduced to some of the first-hand experiences by the absolvents or Erasmus exchange during the studies, as well as the internship exchange.
As the students were very interested and were asking a lot of questions, we moved a part of the debate to the social programme, where we carried on discussing during the buffet time.
Huge THANK YOU goes to our friends from Future Generation Europe, as well European Union, thanks to whose generous support and co-funding out EGiA Move'in Europe Mobility Promotion Event was made possible.
