Goal of the Activity

The purpose of the event was to introduce international students to Easter traditions in Poland, not only to gain new knowledge but also to make them feel part of our society

Description

On the occasion of Easter, we created an Easter Traditions Evening event to share Polish Easter customs with students from abroad. We presented a powerpoint presentation about Polish traditions related to the holiday - what each day of Easter looks like, and what foods are characteristic of the season. Then, the new knowledge from the presentation was tested in an interactive quiz with prizes for the top 3 winners. There was also a guest appearance by representatives from Egypt, Spain, and Greece, who talked about Easter customs in their countries. We additionally organized a game of finding eggs with letters hidden around the object to form the word "Easter" from the letters, and the winning person also received a prize. At the end, we shared Mazurek, babkę czekoladową and foreign food brought by the participants to talk and socialize together in international company!
