Goal of the Activity

A drag show is a perfect way to celebrate diversity and encourage open-mindedness, while also providing a unique cultural experience.

By organizing this event, we aim to:

  1. Celebrate Inclusivity and Diversity: It's essential for us to create opportunities that promote acceptance and understanding of different identities and forms of self-expression. A drag show is a powerful way to showcase and celebrate gender diversity in a fun and engaging way.
  2. Offer Cultural Enrichment: Many students, especially those new to the city or country, may not have experienced drag culture before. This event provides a chance for cultural learning and enrichment, which is central to our mission of enhancing students’ international experience.
  3. Build a Stronger Community: Our events are always about bringing people together, and a drag show offers a lively and interactive atmosphere where students can bond, socialize, and support the performers. It’s a way to break the ice, foster friendships, and strengthen the ESN community spirit.
  4. Raise Awareness and Support for Social Causes: Drag culture has long been associated with LGBTQ+ rights and advocacy. Through this event, we hope to raise awareness about important social issues, demonstrating ESN's commitment to supporting equality, inclusion, and the celebration of all identities.
Description

2 local drag queens from Barcelona offered us a fun show consisting of dancing, singing live and interacting with the students to make them laugh!
