Goal of the Activity

The goal of the Dolmabahçe Palace tour was to give Erasmus students an enriching cultural experience by exploring one of the most historically significant and architecturally stunning landmarks in the city, deepening their understanding of Turkey's rich heritage.

Description

We arranged a captivating Dolmabahçe Palace tour as part of our cultural activities for Erasmus students. The group explored the grandeur of the palace, which once served as the administrative center of the Ottoman Empire, marveling at its intricate architecture, lavish interiors, and stunning views of the Bosphorus. As we walked through the opulent halls and rooms, a knowledgeable guide shared stories of the palace’s historical significance, from its role in Turkish politics to its place as a symbol of the Ottoman Empire’s final years. The tour not only offered a fascinating look into Turkey’s past but also gave students the opportunity to experience one of Istanbul’s most iconic landmarks firsthand. It was an inspiring and educational experience, allowing participants to connect with the city's deep history while sharing the adventure with fellow students.
