Goal of the Activity

This event was part of the project “Be a changemaker for a European sustainable campus”, in collaboration with EDISU Piemonte and CROUS Versailles. The project was co-funded by the European Union in the framework of Erasmus+ and it aims at promoting the concept of sustainability among university students. Through this project we wanted to support the capacity-building of partnership’s staff as well as facilitating a mutual learning opportunity on a transnational level among young people. Specifically, this activity was aimed to educate partcipants to a more sustainable life through workshops and activity, while spending a wonderful weekend in the Alps.

Description

The event focused on sustainability and fostering a deeper understanding of how students can make their lives more eco-friendly. Most of the time was dedicated to insightful seminars, where trainers from other ESN Italian sections shared engaging presentations about sustainability practices, challenges, and innovative solutions. These sessions sparked lively discussions, allowing students to share ideas and reflect on how they could implement sustainable habits in their daily lives. In between the structured sessions there were creative and hands-on activities. Students unleashed their artistic side by painting tote bags, transforming them into unique, reusable masterpieces. The activity not only encouraged sustainable practices but also served as a reminder of the importance of reducing waste. Moreover, participants enjoyed leisurely walks through the breathtaking natural surroundings. These moments offered a chance to disconnect, breathe fresh air, and connect with nature, reinforcing the importance of preserving such environments for future generations. Of course there moments of free time, where participants and volunteers could get to know each other better. The weekend was a perfect balance of education, creativity, nature, and fun. It left participants inspired, more mindful of their environmental impact, and motivated to make sustainability a cornerstone of student life.
