The goal of this activity is to offer Erasmus students an immersive experience in the local artistic and cultural heritage through an active visit to Palazzo Abatellis and the Galleria d’Arte Moderna (GAM). These sites, emblematic of Sicilian history and art, allow students to explore the values, identity, and traditions of the host region. This experience aims to foster a deeper understanding of local cultural influences, enriching the students’ academic journey and creating a meaningful connection with the culture that welcomes them.
The event offered Erasmus students a unique opportunity to explore the rich cultural heritage of Sicily through an active visit to Palazzo Abatellis and the Galleria d'Arte Moderna (GAM). The visit was designed to immerse students in the history, art, and traditions of the region, allowing them to engage directly with iconic works of art and historical landmarks. As they walked through the halls of the Palazzo Abatellis, students discovered the beauty of Sicilian Renaissance architecture and the depth of the island’s artistic legacy.
