Promote teamwork, critical thinking, and cultural awareness through an interactive mystery-solving activity that encourages collaboration, empathy, and open discussion about real-world issues such as domestic violence, corruption, and racism.
The event begins with an engaging presentation by a psychology student who explores the psychology behind criminal behavior, explaining why people kill, what patterns they follow, and how such behaviors can be recognised. The presentation also breaks down common stereotypes about killers, encouraging participants to question misconceptions and think critically about how society perceives crime and violence.
Afterward, students form groups and work together to solve two fictional cases inspired by real-life social challenges. They have one hour to analyse clues, discuss their reasoning, and uncover the truth. The investigations are followed by a debrief session where participants reflect on their thought processes, share feedback, and discuss the outcomes. The evening ends with a few fun rounds of the game Mafia, creating a relaxed and interactive conclusion to the activity.
This workshop promotes teamwork, critical thinking, and empathy while encouraging open dialogue about complex social issues. By combining education, creativity, and entertainment, it offers a meaningful experience that connects students through curiosity, collaboration, and problem-solving.
