The main goal of the activity was to hike on the Monte Conero, one of the most famous landmarks in Marche region, and show the natural variety and beauties of the area. The hiking aimed to be around 9 km long, and its main attraction were the Belvedere Nord, Pian Grande and Pian dei Raggetti for the wonderful views and Badia di San Pietro, pitture rupestri del Conero and Grotte Romane as cultural heritage.
The Erasmus left the city centre of Ancona by bus at 12:20 in the morning. Arrival at the meeting point at about 12:50, departure of the hiking at 1:00pm. The walk was chill and relaxing, on a good ground, for the majority of the route into the woods, and with several stop to look at the wonderful views of this Regional Park, the first stop has been in Pian Grande, then in Belvedere Nord where we took some pictures together. Then we reach the top of the mountain and after few hundreds meters on the road we reach Badia San Pietro, the students visited the church then we had our packed lunch together. The route continued to the south of the mountain to see the two rocks on the sea named "le due sorelle" for their original shape. Then we came back and we went to Pian dei Raggetti to enjoy the beautiful and typical italian view on the sea, the hills, the small towns, the mountains behind and the sunset. We explored for few meters some roman caves (le grotte romane) then we returned to the starting point at about 6pm after around 9km of hiking. We wait for 30 minutes the bus and we returned to the city center at 7pm
