The goal of the activity was to share the volunteers experiences abroad, and to debunk stereotypes about going on an international program. As it was at a specific school, we had the opportunity to reach a new kind of public, less aware about the possibilities of travelling the globe.
In 4 classes, we organised 3 sessions to talk about our stereotypes about other countries, our fears, and our hopes and expectations while discovering new cultures. In total, we spent 12 hours discussing topics such as inclusion, diversity, the importance of languages and the advantages of travelling the world.
The specificity of these Erasmus in Schools was that it took place in a "REP", a "Réseau d'éducation prioritaire", where students sometimes have a difficult social background.
In the long run, we hope to reconduct this type of interventions.
