The goal of the activity was to show the city and its cultural heritage.
On the afternoon of 24th of March 2023 we visited the historic center of our city. The tour started from "Piazza Duomo", the most important square in Messina, where the students admired the Cathedral and the Bell Tower, with its animated clock. Then we continued through other beautiful streets and squares, and we admired various monuments and historical testimonies. We stopped in the most symbolic places of the city and ESN volunteers described the history behind them. Also, during the tour, the students participated in a treasure hunt, looking for some clues in the monuments. At the end of the afternoon we spent some time together admiring the landscape of the city from above and eating "Cannoli", some typical sweets.
