The objective was to spread knowledge about a different city that Erasmus students would maybe not know a lot about and create a desire to discover the city. For Erasmus of Córdoba, they will learn some new things about the capital of Portugal and for Erasmus of Lisbon, they will learn things about the little city of Córdoba, too many times ignored because it is near other beautiful cities like Seville, Granada or Malaga.
Back in 2023, international students of Córdoba had a wonderful trip to Lisbon and the relationship between volunteers and international students of the two organizations grew. Both ESN sections maintained contact during months and provided help between them, especially with the web pages. Naturally the need for a Section Cooperation appeared and we wanted to involve both our beloved Erasmus students and the love for our city.
The idea was to create a piece of content that everyone will enjoy watching and will increase the desire to discover Lisbon and Córdoba.
After several online meetings, we decided to do a series of humoristic interview videos. In the videos we asked specifics of Lisbon and Córdoba to spread knowledge about the cities. We asked about the famous bridge of "Ponte de 25 de Abril" in Lisbon that people think it’s from San Francisco and about the number of UNESCO world heritage sites of Córdoba (there are 4 and it’s the city with the highest number). We also asked about the favorite word in Portuguese/Spanish and of course about the best local dish: Salmorejo or Pastel de Belém.
Volunteers and Erasmus had a fun time filming during the welcome weeks of February 2024. The videos were published as collaborative post on Instagram on May 6th. Therefore, international students of Lisbon ended up with insights about Córdoba as international students of Córdoba with details about Lisbon.
