The purpose of the Christmas EVEning was to promote cross-cultural integration and build ties between international students and the local academic community. The event aimed to create a friendly space where participants could share their traditions, learn about the holiday customs of other cultures and celebrate the special Christmas time together.
In addition, the project aimed to counteract the foreign students' sense of isolation during the holiday season by providing them with a warm and joyful atmosphere that promoted integration and exchange of experiences. Through a variety of activities, participants had the chance to develop creativity, make new friends and discover common values, which is fully in line with ESN's mission.
Christmas EVEning was a unique event that brought together many types of attractions for international students and put them in the magical atmosphere of the Christmas holidays. As part of the evening, participants had the opportunity to take part in a competition for the most beautiful gingerbread house, create their own Christmas decorations in a creative corner, prepare and share traditional dishes and snacks from different cultures, and sing traditional Christmas songs from their country. The project created a space for cross-cultural integration, sharing experiences and learning about each other's Christmas traditions. Thanks to the commitment of 14 members of our section, the event brought together 32 participants and left wonderful memories.
