The main objective of the “Christmas in ESN” initiative is to promote intercultural dialogue and exchange among Erasmus students, enhancing Italian traditions and cultural heritage, particularly during the Christmas season. The activity aims to foster knowledge of local customs, creating an opportunity for comparison and integration between different cultures. In addition, it aims to strengthen the sense of community through playful activities such as setting up the Christmas tree and the “Secret Santa,” and to share moments of conviviality, fun and discovery through typical foods and traditional music.
On December 4, at the headquarters of the ESN Sui-Generis Basilicata association, the “Christmas in ESN” event was held, an initiative dedicated to intercultural exchange and dialogue, with the aim of enhancing and promoting Italian cultural heritage, particularly during the Christmas holidays. The event was aimed at Erasmus students, who had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the Christmas traditions and customs of our area. During the day, we shared stories and curiosities about Italian Christmas traditions, comparing different cultural customs. Together, we set up the association's Christmas tree and participated in the “Secret Santa” game, exchanging gifts in an atmosphere of merriment and sharing. The atmosphere was made even more special by typical Christmas sweets and traditional music from our area, creating a moment of fun and conviviality among students from different parts of the world.
