Goal of the Activity

The Chinese New Year, also known as the Lunar New Year, is a significant cultural celebration that marks the beginning of the new year on the traditional Chinese calendar. It is celebrated with various customs, including parades, feasts, and festive decorations. The primary goals of the Chinatown Milano Chinese New Year event were to celebrate this cultural diversity and foster social inclusion among Erasmus students. Michele, the organizer and an expert in local culture, provided detailed explanations and shared stories about the significance of the celebrations, enhancing the students' understanding and appreciation of the event. By organizing this event, we aimed to provide students with a unique cultural experience, allowing them to immerse themselves in the vibrant traditions of the Chinese New Year. Additionally, the event sought to facilitate social interaction and bonding among international students, helping them to feel more integrated into the diverse community of Milan.
