Our goal was showing one of the most famous and beautiful festivities in Venice: the Carnival. We chose the week before the exact Carnival day, as to avoid the crowds of tourists. But still, the streets were full of masks and rich of a festive mood. We wanted to share the most traditional venetian festivity, which goes back to a few centuries in the past and is still celebrated each year even now.
We took our group sight-seeing the main spots of the city, adding some historical commentary and fun facts! We passed by the main spots in the city such as Rialto Bridge and the Academia, and once we reached Piazza San Marco we let the festivities begin! In San Marco, we had the chance to admire lots and lots of beautiful "maschere" and shared some typical italian carnival games, such as throwing coriandoli and stelle filanti.
