Goal of the Activity

Careoke night was a social activity organized by ESN Thessaloniki in order to collect long-lasting food (such as pasta, rice. canned food cereal) for ''Irida women's centre'', a local NGO located in Thessaloniki
Participants were highly encouraged to join our Careoke night by bringing a food of their preference and the next day all the donations were giving to Irida women's centre.
Irida is a nonprofit organization that empowers economically and socially vulnerable women to become active members of society and fulfill their goals and aspirations. In our women-led community center, women can find the support they need to address challenges, find solutions and achieve positive change. Through casework, protection, legal and psychosocial support, and employability services, women find a space to share and learn, make responsible decisions for their lives and pursue opportunities for personal and professional development.

Description

In this careoke night, participants were not only had a responsible karaoke night, embracing and enhancing their soft skills, but they also participated and supported our main goal which was collecting food for those in need.

By entering our event, participants were giving their donation to ESN volunteers as we were gathering them in a special room in our social event's Location.
At the end of the night, we fundraised a very big amount of food that the next day morning we kindly donated/offered to the organisation.
