Goal of the Activity

The main purpose was to show Erasmus students the natural beauty of South Tyrol. We wanted to propose a different event and an activity that could be different from those that normally can be carried out in this geographical area.
The natural beauty of these areas is famous all over the world, but through the experience with an alpine guide it was possible to live this day to the fullest.

Description

Canyoning, also known as canyoneering, is an adventurous outdoor activity that involves navigating through canyons using a variety of techniques such as walking, scrambling, climbing, jumping, rappelling, and swimming. Canyons are narrow gorges or ravines with steep walls, often formed by rivers cutting through rock over time. Participants in canyoning typically wear specialized equipment such as helmets, wetsuits, harnesses, and rappelling gear to navigate through the rugged terrain and various obstacles encountered in the canyon, including waterfalls, pools, and rocky formations. For this reason we rented all the equipments and required a mountain guide.

The activity requires a certain level of physical fitness, technical skills, and knowledge of rope work and safety procedures.
