The goal of this canoeing trip is to provide students with a unique and scenic experience in one of Denmark's most picturesque regions.
Join us on a magical canoeing trip in one of Denmark’s most beautiful regions!
If the weather allows we will paddle to the famous “sky mountain” and enjoy one of the most scenic and idyllic parts of Denmark. Maybe the most idyllic of DK
We will go together in a bus to the small town Ry, where will hop into a canoe and paddle our way via Gudenåen to Himmelbjerget. Here we will hike to the top of Denmark’s 2nd highest point (breathtaking 147 meters), where we will eat our lunch and enjoy the view
After this we will canoe back to Ry, where the bus will take us home
We will paddle an approx. 4 hours in total, so you don’t need to be an elite athlete or paddler to join, but it will require a bit of arm strength
Please note: If there is too much wind, we will go south instead and not go to Himmelbjerget, but find another nice spot for lunch.
Programme:
09:30: We meet at Studenterhus Aarhus and take off for Ry
10:30: We find our canoes, vests and get a quick introduction to paddling.
13:00: Arrival at the foot of Himmelbjerget, where we will climb to the top and enjoy our lunch.
15:00: We head back to Ry.
17:30: We go back to Aarhus by bus.
Price includes: Bus ride + rental of canoe and vests.
Bring: Lunch, snacks, water, plastic bag for your clothes and clothes appropriate to the weather - you can event bring your swim suit if you want to take a dive in the water at Himmelbjerget
