Goal of the Activity
The goal of the activity was to introduce the international students to the Sicilian culture and make them try zero kilometres food and local products.
Description
On the 15th of October 2023, we visited the homeland of the Pistachio: Bronte. There was the famous Pistachio Festival, in which people could taste typical pistachio-based products and had the chance to buy them, too. In addition to the various food and drink stalls, students were entertained by music performances and fashion shows. We visited Nelson Castle to enjoy the British atmospheare and to learn about the history of this place. At the end of the day, the students were happy to have discovered the little but characteristic city on the slopes of Etna, together with his culinary culture.
