Goal of the Activity
- Teach the international students a bit more about the Portuguese culture;
- Show them some of the most famous places and traditions from Porto.
Description
We took the international students on a nice and relaxing boat trip in the Douro river in a "rebelo" boat trip. During this boat trip it's possible to see the beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Sites on both sides of the river and to get to know the 6 bridges that connect the two cities (Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia). After that, we took the students to a Porto wine tasting!! We visited a wine cellar and learned about Porto wine, how it’s produced and what separates it from regular wines. At the end, we gave them the opportunity to taste a few types of Porto wine!
