Goal of the Activity

Bite Istanbul: Kadıköy Edition, which took place on December 23, 2023, invited Erasmus students to explore hidden culinary gems and cultural richness in Kadıköy. The goal was an immersive, spontaneous exploration, emphasizing comfort, diverse tastes, and connections among participants. Through this event, we aimed to go beyond the ordinary, fostering a shared experience that unveiled the soul of Kadıköy. Participants joined us for an enriching culinary journey in the heart of Istanbul. 

Description

In this edition of Bite Istanbul: Kadıköy, held on December 23, 2023, Erasmus students embarked on a culinary journey, exploring hidden gems and cultural richness in Kadıköy with volunteers. The first stop unfolded at Bütme Evi, a gözleme house, where participants savored the delightful Turkish pastry.

Following this, the exploration continued to the second stop at Express İnegöl Köftecisi, a traditional köfte place from İnegöl in Bursa city. Here, participants indulged in the authentic flavors of köfte, immersing themselves in the culinary traditions of this region. We took our food and walked towards Moda, enjoying the sights and the vibrant streets Kadıköy has to offer.

The culinary journey reached its conclusion at Moda da Nata, a street food spot from Portugal located in the Moda neighborhood. Participants experienced the unique taste of pastel de nata, a Portuguese pastry, adding an international flair to the Kadıköy culinary adventure.

Each stop along the way contributed to an enriching experience, creating shared memories and unveiling the diverse culinary landscape that Kadıköy has to offer.
